It's Better to Look Good Than to Feel Good

As I write this I am sitting in the Salt Lake City Airport, hoping to somehow get a flight home. I am on a Southwest stand-by ticket. I got a great price and it worked well going to Salt Lake, but it is not as easy going home on a Sunday. I've been here since about 2:00 and it's now 7:30. I have one more shot tonight and then I'll just go to a hotel for the night. Unfortunately, my luggage and any hope of comfortable shoes went to Seattle.

Baby Brooks went home from the hospital today. He is doing well and spends a lot of his time sleeping. He is going to be a well dressed baby and he had a special outfit designated for his trip home. He was fine with what he was wearing.....

a plain white t-shirt...

He wasn't happy with the 3 piece outfit.

But he looked cute!

It was really hard saying goodbye to the baby. I guess I just got very attached to him in the past few days. I was so lucky to be able to spend the time with the family as little Brooks changed everything. It was obvious that he was left in good hands with parents that have fallen in love with him and I know will take very good care of him.
I'm looking forward to being back in Utah for his blessing and Daddy Brooks' graduation in late April.

We are SOOOOOO glad you were able to come to Utah and see us mom! You were so helpful and we couldn't have done it without you! And I am about to go enjoy my sparkling clean shower as well as the rest of my spotless house! You are the best and we love you!
